SCIONWOOD
This rare cultivar is a local favorite in New Brunswick where it was discovered as a chance seedling. Medium-large, deep maroon apples with crunchy, pink veined flesh are aromatic and attractive. Great for fresh eating but even better for drying. In a New Brunswick trial testing the drying characteristics of over a hundred apple varieties, the terrific flavour of Tangowine garnered top place. Hardy and scab resistant, it makes on interesting addition to any orchard.
