SCIONWOOD
This variety has no connection to Red Delicious. although it does have a similar conic shape. One of the best fresh eating apples of early fall, it is usually very large with a rosy, pinkish red blush covering half of the light yellow surface. Crisp, snappy, aromatic flesh with a pleasant, distinctive aftertaste also makes great apple sauce. Stores for two months. Decent disease resistance.
