Introduced in 1979, this disease resistant selection from Trenton, ON has largely remained unknown. Some U-pick setups, especially organic ones such as Avalon Orchards, find they can never produce enough to satisfy their loyal customers who insist on Trent. A touch of mild, pleasant, pear flavour comes through in the firm, very crisp, cream-coloured flesh of this large, dark red apple. Storage is excellent. Organic growers also appreciate it's exceptional insect resistance which is possibly due to it's slightly thicker skin.
