Originated in Yorkshire, England around 1700 and long considered the classic "upscale" English dessert apple. Mid-sized, bright orange, red-blushed fruit has a pleasant aroma and a rich, refined flavour. The fine-grained flesh is hard, crisp and extremely sugary. One of the best for eating, cooking and cider. It is a triploid so be sure to have several other varieties for cross pollination.
